Patented 3-Point Correction for Flat Feet

Flat feet occur when the arches are falling and the heel and ankles turn in. This process is called pronation. Each person will have a varying degree of how much their foot will pronate depending upon the amount of flexibility in the 3 areas of the foot- the subtalar joint, midfoot and forefoot.

These falling arches are what lead to plantar fasciitis, bunions, neuromas, heel pain, shin splints and knee and back pain

This can happen to all ages!

25% of the population is born with flat feet. Many kids will not necessarily complain about their feet hurting.  They sometimes feel that this is how everyone feels and learn to compensate by not being as active, toe walking or turning their feet in and becoming in-toed.

As the arch starts to weaken, another 10-15% of the population will develop flat feet. This means that about 35-40% of the adult population have flat feet.

Down Syndrome and Flat Feet

Chromosome 21 is the gene associated with Down syndrome and also the gene that makes collagen. Collagen is the major protein that makes up ligaments, tendons, cartilage, bone and the support structure of the skin. The resulting effect in people with SD is increased laxity or looseness of the ligaments. Ligamentous laxity contributes to flat feet. when the feet flatten out, the leg internally rotates causing shin splints. This rotation also occurs at the knees and hips, causing knee, hip and back problems.

J1 Insoles are a medical-grade arch supports designed to correct foot problems and are an affordable solution to expensive prescription orthotics or ineffective generic shoe inserts.

Forefoot
J1 insoles are the only arch supports that have the built-in forefoot varus control that is needed for flat feet (pronation). Without this patented correction, your foot is not totally supported and will make your arch hurt in other insoles or prescriptions orthotics.

Arch
You have a flat foot if, when you are sitting, you have an arch, but when you stand, you do not. J1 insoles provide this support to keep your foot in neutral. Most arch supports either are too flat and provide no support or are too high because it isn't combined with the forefoot varus correction.

Heel
J1 insoles have a deeper heel cup to provide stabilization and to keep your heel in neutral position.

AVERAGE FEET

3-Point Correction for average arches. Available in adult and youth sizes.

Forefoot
Average to high arches will benefit from the metatarsal pad that is incorporated into the forefoot section of the J1 insoles. J1 insoles also provide correction to the ball of the foot. Most arch supports only provide support to the midarch or behind the ball of the foot. Your support needs to run the whole length of the arch from the heel to the ball of the foot - just like a bridge. This is only found in J1 insoles.

Arch
This is true support, not just a cushion. J1 insoles provide the best support you will find in an over-the-counter arch support.

Heel
Even the average to high-arched foot has a tendency to rotate outwardly (supinate). J1 insoles deeper heel cup and neutral shape helps stabilize the heel.
